8th Grade: “Plastic Bottle Collecting program” of We Club

A new initiative, “Plastic Bottle Collecting program” has been founded to coincide with the new semester at SHSID. After a winter of careful planning, theWeClub have orchestrated this location to increase environmental awareness on campus.

As suchWeClub have placed three trash cans in various locations around the school; the entrance of the middle school building, beside the basket ball court, and near the soccer field.

WeClub members will collect the donated plastic bottles every Wednesday and Friday. The plastic bottles will ultimately go to an organization called “CiJi”, and will then be recycled into fabric for clothing.

This event will not only be efficient and practical, but also will eco-friendly. The next goal forWeClub will be to secure help with the recycle process from the CiJi.

Furthermore,WeClub members are currently working hard to use this event as an “out-side-of-school service learning project”.

TheWeClub would like to thank everyone for their warm hearted donations in the previous semester. Any kind of support to this event will be appreciated.
