Grade 1: Chinese Character Competition

On the last day of 2015, all the first graders participated in the Chinese Character Competition in native Chinese class.

Every student took turns to recognize the Chinese characters shown on the screen. The students who can persist to the last will be the winners of the competition. The characters shown were harder and harder and fewer and fewer students were left at the end. Finally there were only four or five students left! These students read a lot of Chinese books and reading has already become their daily habit.

The teachers wanted to encourage the students to read more frequently and recognize more Chinese characters by doing so.
