Chinese Culture Week – Traditional Fashion Show

SHSID high school “Chinese Culture Week” has commenced. On December 17, 2015, grade 11 students of non-native Chinese class gathered in the Xianmian Auditorium to have a Chinese traditional fashion show. Student models dressed in costumes of different times and ethnicities and walked on the stage to present the show.

On this show, one may see the “Han Emperor and Queen” had a family reunion with their times roamers “prince” and “princess” from Qing dynasty. A gentleman dressed in a long gown of 1930’s played Chinese Kungfu, imitating the classic image of Bruce Lee. Also, blond young men and girls played as ethnic groups from all overChinadanced together.

The Chinese teachers explained the feature of each costume as the models presenting the show, which was not only attractive to the audience taking pictures with each of them, but also a vivid display of the aesthetic concepts of Chinese traditional fashion.
