Report of the Basketball Competition

In order to satisfy the students and parents' requirement for more participation in the PE activities, our school expands our ways of thinking and organizes various high-level PE competitions constantly. Last weekend, SHSID U11 team (under 11 years old)，U13 team (under 13 years old) welcomed the SPURS basketball team which mainly contains American andBritianSchools. SPURS is a team with actual strength. Two weeks ago, in the top club competition organized inShanghai, U12 and U14 from our school competed with them. The result was winning half of the battle and failing half of the battle. We adjusted our competition lineup according to our court system and re-organized them as U11 and U13 two teams.

The low tempreture and the rain in this winter made people curve their body before they entered the Annex Studio. But the atmosphere in the studio illuminated the temperature. Parents and students were making basketball interaction with each other. Everyone in the court can feel happy from doing sports.

In the competition process, the veterans could lose the battle while the new hand could make a brilliant performance. Parents were more nevous than the players on the court. I think this was a release for students' eagerness of outside class activities! Parents also gained happiness in the competition process. Especially for the grade 4 and grade 5 students who participated in the competition for the first time, it is really the most memorable experience in their life.
