My Speech in Shanghai Japanese School

On the morning of November 25th, Rachel as a student representative went toShanghaiJapaneseSchoolto participate in the Chinese Japanese Speech Competition. The speeches were conducted by making the Chinese students speak Japanese, and Japanese students speak Chinese in order to promote both countries younger generation to be friendly and respect each other. All of the speeches were designed to point out the other country’s good parts, and to try to convince the audience of both country’s grand history and culture.

“The part of the whole ceremony that I liked the best aside from the speeches was the singing by the entire middle school students of SJS. They sang in such unison that I was almost moved to tears. Through this event, I now understand the Japanese culture a little more clearly, and acquired new strength in the learning of this particular language. “
