Grade 7&8: Charity Fair Donation Ceremony

On December 13th 2015, 7th and 8th grade students had the Charity Fair Donation Ceremony in the Primary School auditorium. Students donated 40,000 RMB to the MaiTian organization and will help construct a youth club inXinZhaiPrimary School, Kai Tang Tow, Kai Li District,GuiZhouProvince.

The MaiTian organization was created on June 16th 2005; there was a group of volunteers that wanted to help kids in the mountains, who did not take formal educations. SHSID and the MaiTian organization both had a common goal, which is to let every kid have the equal right of education. The youth club, which SHSID helped to construct in Gui Zhou, will provide a space where kids could get books that they wanted to read and have multiple choices. The youth club could help the kids develop a better interest, and help the teachers find a better way of teaching. This ceremony helped students develop their sense of social responsibility. “ When we know our efforts can help others a lot, we are so happy.”
