Grade 7: Visited Shanghai Film Museum

On November 27th, the 7th graders had their long-awaited field trip. On this day, all of the 7th graders went to the Shanghai Film Museum. In the museum, the students, and even teachers found many interesting things that they liked.

As the students walked into the halls of the Shanghai Film Museum, they saw pictures of the most famous actors and actresses in China’s history. Further into the building, there were glass displays, showing many classic scenes from movies. But the exhibition that caught the students’ attention the most was the small screens that they could interact with. It was just a small screen, which showed a boat on a river. How could it capture the students’ attention so well then? Actually, the students could use the shadows of their arms to control that small screen in front of them. As the students raised their arms, the boat would turn into a small book, which gave them summaries of different well-known films.

When the students were finally done with playing on all these small screens, their attention turned towards a row of small, white desks. On each desk, there was either a screen that you could draw on, or a small experiment to work with. That hall was quite crowded at the time. All of these activities were fascinating and fun to play with. So by the time the students were going to the 4D movie theater, they were all anxious to see what surprise would be waiting for them?

After entering the theater, students found seats next to their friends, and waited excitedly for the film to start. The room darkened, and the movie started. The film was very interesting and the students were very enthusiastic about it, and when the movie finally ended, students walked off in groups, hoping to find more fun things to play with.

This trip to the Shanghai Film Museum has not only taught us about films, it has also given us unforgettable memories.
