Well-educated Primary Students during a Field Trip
Well-educated Primary Students during a Field Trip
One of the most important education goals in SHSID is to foster very well-behaved students who do not disturb others in public. The primary students have shown everybody good behavior on their field trip to theShanghaiNaturalHistoryMuseumon November 12.
Before the field trip, every teacher prepared a lot for the trip. All the teachers educated their students about the disciplines in the museum, such as listening to the narrators in the museum attentively, no running or chasing, holding the handrail tightly on the escalator, etc. The teachers focused especially on cleaning up after lunch.
On the day, more than 600 primary students visited the museum and behaved very well: everyone visited all the exhibitions quietly and orderly, nobody shouted or screamed or bothered others. After lunch, all the students cleaned up conscientiously without the teacher’s reminding. All the rubbish was thrown away in the rubbish bags or trashcans nearby. After lunch, the ground was as clean as before.
After the field trip, the teachers continued to enforce the students’ awareness on good manners in public by showing many pictures during the weekly assembly the following Monday. The teachers showed all the primary students the pictures with students picking rubbish on the ground and cleaning up after lunch. All the primary students have been praised and encouraged for their good manners in public.
All the primary teachers believe that there is always a chance for education at any time, in any place. All the primary teachers will persist in looking for every chance to teach the students good manners and appropriate behavior in public.
