Puxi Grade 2: Field Trip

November 12th was the day for the field trip. Second graders visited Shanghai Natural History Museum. Stepping into the museum, students were attracted by a large fossil model of a dinosaur on B2. But this is only a small corner of the museum. Actually, there are also an amazing array of species and specimens including huge skeletons of different kinds of dinosaurs, birds, mammoths, deer, and more. Students wondered how such a large collection of specimen were discovered and collected by diligent scientists. They also incessantly marveled at the evolution on earth during which so many species survived.

This field trip is aimed to cultivate students’ awareness that we should protect every life on earth to maintain the balance of nature and keep evolution going on.
