Grade 10： English Speech Competition

On November 11th, 2015, students from the ninth and tenth grade of SHSID gathered in the auditorium for two hours of exciting and inspiring speeches delivered by the contestants of the annual speech competition. Every student prepared a speech on a given topic. While the S/S+ students discussed whether people should be content with what they already have, H/H+ students gave their opinions on policies for protecting endangered species. Each contestant who made it to the final round was then given an impromptu speech topic and 30 seconds to structure their response. Ashley Huang and Sophie Li came in first place; Chloe Tan and George Xu won second place, and Jenny Feng, Rebecca Liu, and Josh Lee came in third place.
