Grade 9: Parents’ Meeting

On October 27th, 9th grade parents had a meeting with teachers and advisors in the school. This first part of the meeting was an information session providing a lot of materials about school courses and activities. During the first hour, the parents got a taste of what the students are going to experience in their high school years. The teachers introduced the curriculum as well as the highlights of grades 9 and 10 and the teacher advisor and counseling programs at SHSID.

During the second round, parents chose classrooms according to students’ interest and got lectures from professional teachers in that field. Each teacher in each classroom represented a specific field of study, from math to literature, art to music. Every parent got a good idea of the curriculum and what the student should do to keep up with the class. There was a Q&A session after, and parents participated actively and asked questions concerning their kids’ education. The parents meeting provided a platform where parents could learn all about the academic life and school experience at SHSID.
