SHSID Wind Ensemble performs for Shanghai High School’s 150th Anniversary

On Oct 17th, 2015, SHSID Wind Ensemble’s fifty-eight members along with performers from the SHS Local Division opened the prelude toShanghaiHigh School’s 150^thAnniversary — an event participated by over one thousand SHS Alumni and esteemed professionals of the city's education scene. The Ensemble successfully rehearsed a 30-minutes repertoire—the longest duration to have been endeavored—and performed in front of the gathering of Alumni after months of pressing rehearsals and two days spent under Shanghai’s October heat, adjusting the acoustics for its first official, large-scaled outdoor performance.

We would like to thank all members of the Ensemble for their whole-hearted efforts, passion, and persistence which permeated through their performances and were demonstrated in the hours of rehearsals leading up to this grand performance! We are immensely grateful for all involved in the preparation of this event and the valuable experiences that we have gained through this process.
