Grade 6: 24 Points Competition

This day at SHSID, there is an interesting event among the sixth graders. It will be a class vs. class competition, with students who have the most intelligent and creative minds. It will be an exciting battle with the smartest students of each class competing.

First, the 24 points competition contains simple rules:

1.You have four cards that are between 1and 13.

2.You use division, multiplication, addition, or subtraction to make those 4 numbers into 24.

3.When you get the last number as 24, you win that round.

4.First to 15 points win! Since this is a competition, you must be the first to obtain the number to 24 to help your classes earn one point. On the other hand, if you raise your hand and make a mistake or forget the answer, one important point will be deducted!

During the first round, some classes will be directly eliminated and some will survive to the second round and maybe the finals. Even though some might cry or feel ashamed that they were out, it is still important to be positive and not let frustration or other negative emotions take hold. Remember, the point of the competition is to have fun, and of course to improve our math!

Lastly, I want all the people who participated the 24 points competition to have a good time and try their best. Be the best and take the honor! 24 points competition, HERE WE GO!
