Grade 7: 7th Grade Boys' Basketball Competition
Grade 7: 7th Grade Boys' Basketball Competition
The 7th Grade basketball competition is now in full swing. After the teachers decided the match ups, the classes picked their players and substitutes, training began, and they thought about strategies that would outsmart their opponents. Some people were beginning to practice weeks before the competition was even announced. Every school day, two classes went against each other from 12:30 to 12:50. It was a 3v3 half court game with regular basketball rules applied: 20 minutes of game time with a five-minute break in between. Each game had two 8th grade referees to make sure there weren’t any disagreements or conflicts. Students went on the court and showed their dazzling shots and amazing plays. The crowd was huge, screams and shouts came about the moment a team scored! Everyone exhibited great sportsmanship throughout the game. After five games were completed, the first round was over. The teams that were able to push through the first round were: 7(2), 7(4), 7(1) 7(10) and 7(6). 7(8) were automatically in the 2nd round because they were able to grab the lucky draw. The first round of the 7th Grade Basketball Competition was extremely competitive and the students tried their hardest. The second round will be even more interesting. Let’s wait and see the result!
