Grade 8: The ASB Election

The ASB candidates started preparing long before the election started. They made colorful posters that showedtheirpersonalities and hung them upon the first floor of the building. Then, they were instructed to make short videos to presentto theseventh and eighth graders. After all the preparations were done, the anticipationbegan. On September 17th,the election was held during the last class of the day.Candidateswent around the school, trying to gain last minute supporters. The videos served as the highlight of the day. Some were creative and colorful,while otherswere original and to the point, but every one of them wasmade by students who clearly put a lot oftime and effortinto the preparation.

After the resultswere announced, everyone was very excited. Eighth graders such as Claire, Diana, and Andrew were re-elected this year. There were also new members added toASB.Everyone hopes they will doa fabulous job this year in serving the students of SHSID.
