8th Grade Graduation Rehearsal

On June 4th, the eighth graders had their first rehearsal during the CAS class period. The students have already got their invitations to the ceremony, and can’t wait to end their year with a graduation ceremony. During the first period, the teachers had instructed the students of their place in line, as well as the directions to where to walk so they will have it in mind and the real situation won’t be messy. As the second period started, students began filing to the gymnasium for the real thing. There were cones that guided the students better to where they were sitting. As the rehearsal started, the first groups of students went up to “get” their diploma while the others sat and waited for their turn. The big screen showed the name of the current students who were practicing, and the ones who were next to clear any mix-ups. At last, everyone had the chance to practice and get a better understanding of the steps of the ceremony so no one would make a fool of themselves. By practicing for the real event, students can perfect their actions. With this rehearsal, we are beginning to understand that our end-of-the-year graduation is progressing towards us, and we anticipate much for the real event.
