8th Grade: Karaoke Competition Result

People often do karaoke in KTVs, but what about a karaoke in a school? On May 21st, 2015, the 8thgrade students of SHSID held a karaoke competition in the primary school auditorium. There are 18 groups of competitors performing 18 different songs. David from 8(8), Krystal from 8(5), Claire from 8(6), and the two Michelles from 8(5) also wished a happy birthday to their buddies while singing. Rich from 8(11) and Simoning and Shotaro from 8(3) invited Jayden Lee to the stage to sing with them together half way through their performance. Not only did the students participate, but some teachers also prepared a performance. Mr. Shen and Ms. YanJ changed the lyrics of a song and sang it at the competition as the 7th group of competitors. Mr. Ni, our director, also performed with Sylvia Chen from 8(9) as the special guest of the event.

At last, Maggie Boyd and Fiona from 8(9) won the first place with their song “Dear Future Husband”. Sophia from 8(7) and Sylvia, with Mr. Ni, won the second place. Jovilyn from 8(3),Sydneyfrom 8(11), Lami from 8(2), and David from 8(5) won the third place. Let us congratulate the winners of the karaoke competition and give applause to all of the competitors for their great performance!
