Middle School Sports Meet Spectacular March-in
Middle School Sports Meet Spectacular March-in
The favorite time of the year has rolled around again—the long-awaited Sports Meet! It’s that time of the year where everyone can participate and demonstrate their physical talents, be it track and field, the three-legged racing, medicine ball, or other physical activities. To mark the start of such an enticing event, the Entrance Performance is a splendid event that begins the Sports Meet. After hard work, effort, and practice, all four grades perfected it and were ready when the day had come. Each homeroom, with its students arranged into four rows, has a poster and a sign representing the class. When the time was called, two homerooms—one entering from each side of the track—marched across the field and presented a performance based on their designated topic. Marching to the music of glory with the loudspeaker introducing each class’s topic, each class had thirty seconds to show the directors and the whole middle school what they could do. Though half a minute seems to be a short amount of time, you’d be surprised at how innovative and creative the performances can be.
Class one and two were the first eighth grade homerooms to enter, and they performed with great cooperation in basketball. Class three and four combined concerted efforts and presented the world-favorite sport of soccer, and after them was a tense match of tug-of-war between class five and six. Class seven and eight entered shortly with an entertaining jump-rope performance, and class nine and ten had an exciting round of dodgeball. Class eleven completed theirs with the seventh grade class eleven, which was also basketball and dancing. All the performances were entertaining and wonderful, a perfect start to the Sports Meet. We can’t wait for what next year’s event will bring.
