Good News Regarding College Acceptance of the Class of 2015 (As of April 7th, 2015)

Most SHSIDers were busy clicking “LIKE” and leaving messages of “Congrats!” on each other’s WeChat at the dawn of April 1st, 2015. With their continuous effort and dedication to high school life, the Class of 2015 is highly recognized by top colleges worldwide. As of April 7th, 2015, the Class of 2015 received offers from different schools around the world. The following is the results of acceptance of the Top 30 Best US National Universities: Yale University, Stanford University, The Johns Hopkins University, Washington University in St. Louis, Cornell University, Brown University, University of Notre Dame, Vanderbilt University, University of California – Berkeley, Emory University, Georgetown University, University of California - Los Angeles, University of Virginia, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Southern California, Tufts University, Wake Forest University, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Boston College, New York University, and University of Rochester. Over 30% of those who chose to study in the United States were accepted by the Top 30 universities, and over 80% of those received offers from the Top 50 universities. (Please refer to 2015 US News College Rankings.) Among them, 5 students were admitted to University of California – Berkeley, 12 to University of California – Los Angeles, and 26 to University of Southern California.

In addition, students also received offers from top Arts schools, including: Rhode Island School of Design, University of the Arts London (Central Saint Martin College of Art and Design), Pratt Institute, Parsons the New School for Design, Berklee College of Music, etc. Offers from renowned universities of other countries and regions followed to arrive, which filled the whole school with happiness and excitement. Congratulations to the Class of 2015 and we wish the Class of 2015 the very best!
