Pudong G3: Chinese Knot Weaving

Last week was Chinese Culture Week at the Pudong campus. The third grade students gathered to witness a Chinese knot performance, in which a folk artist displayed various types of knots and demonstrated the weaving process. All the students showed a keen interest in the craft, and could hardly wait to attempt their own knot when they saw the artist begin to hand out some red thread to the group. They helped each other, encouraged each other, and finally completed their intricate work.
