Grade 11 Company Visit: Doctor Smile

On April 8th, School International Division led a group of 8 students to pay a visit to Dr. Smile Medical Group Administration Office on Kangpin Rd. Located in the middle of the former French concession, it is no less fancy than the busy metropolitan surrounding it. Doctor Smile is a private corporation headed by Dr. Zhang Qiang, who works in cooperation with public hospitals to provide citizens with trustworthy doctors. This kind of set up resembles American clinics beyond all else. Although it has not been popularized in China, the doctors are working hard to publicize their methods that guarantee patients would be able to stay away from training residents, or irresponsible doctors. The small group of students sat in the spacious garden of the business area and discussed the motivation behind going on the journey to become a doctor.
