Grade 11 Company Visit: the Mandarin Oriental Hotel

A group of students were lucky enough to visit one of Shanghai’s top hotels as the company visit of this semester on April 8th——the Mandarin Oriental. In business since 2013, the hotel gazing over Huangpu River is quite new compared to most of the hotels in the area. However, the long history of the Mandarin Oriental Company guarantees the smooth operation of the hotel in every aspect.

As we were led through the hotel, we had the honor of seeing the famous SPA room, the exquisitely decorated restaurants and the extravagant hotel suites. The entire hotel is fully decorated with art works, and its various facilities had attracted celebrities to stay there during their visits to Shanghai, so the guests here will never know what’s right around the corner—whether it’s a delicate piece of art or their favorite movie star!

Although the visit was quite brief, the tour had fully demonstrated to us the true meaning of the motto of the hotel: “Home outside home.”
