8th Grade Science Fair

The Science Fair is a great activity for everyone because students can enjoy the games while they learn science. This year, the seventh and eighth grade Science Fairs took place during CAS class on March 26. Different classes held different kinds of games, including Jenga and “put the ping-pong into the box.”

Some students claimed that they could not enjoy learning, but the Science Fair proved that joy could be found when you learn. “The Science Fair is a very good activity; students can learn a lot from it. I enjoyed it very much,” said a student from 8(1). Science plays an important role in our daily life. For example, Jenga is a game that consists of mental and physical skills. Playing it makes you understand the balance of momentum.

Students received “passports” from his or her homeroom teacher. They earned stamps by winning games, and those who lost got a stamp for participation. The stamps can be exchanged for gifts on the first floor. Another eighth-grader summarized the activity by stating, “The Science Fair is another lesson to all of us, because through the Science Fair, we learn about science technology in very interesting games, we study and have fun in the same time. It’s a meaningful experience for us.”
