8th Grade CCST Service Learning Program Introduction

As the Service Learning Project launches its first attempt during the first semester in 8th grade, more Service Learning groups developed to be more unique and more efficiently supportive of the student body. One of those groups is the CCST. The purpose and mission of the CCST is to ensure our cleanliness and that it must be maintained in our everyday classrooms. They make sure nobody draws on the desks and also that no trash is left on the floor. All members work very hard to make sure that happens. Many actions were taken such as a poster in every classroom saying how many days the desks have been clean, and more creative ways to improve our classroom cleanliness is still improving during the second semester.

I personally had the chance to view one of their new ways of keeping our classrooms clean. The members of CCST have created one poster per classroom that has the homeroom seating chart neatly drawn on it. Then the poster was decorated very creatively by the artists in our grade. Every member worked very hard not only on the posters or way to warn people not to destroy our academic environment, but also ensure that we have a safe and clean environment where we can study more efficiently.

What’s more, all students in 8th grade are welcome to join this meaningful activity. Those who find a doodled desk and help clean it will get a small prize. Hopefully the new ways that the CCST have created will improve our classroom cleanliness even more.
