SHSID Won Outstanding Small Delegation at Harvard Model UN Conference (China) 2015

Harvard Model UN Conference (China) 2015 was hosted in Beijing JW Marriot on March 19th – 22nd. SHSID sent a small delegation of 11 students，composed of 9th ~11th graders to attend this conference. There are 1200 delegates from China and abroad, with 45% overseas delegates. For our delegation, 80% of them attended the MUN conference for the first time. Delegates worked hard throughout the winter vacation and the beginning two weeks of the semester. They showed their strengths in academic research and team working ability. In addition, they overcame the tiredness of the long trip. Finally, our delegation won the title of Outstanding Small Delegation at HMUN China 2015.

The four-day conference was full of changes and challenges and it was a really intense competition. Our delegates started their training session from the very beginning of this semester. Our club leaders arranged training sessions for them in accordance with every delegate’s strengths and weaknesses. Our delegates represented United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and entered nine committees. Their wonderful performances impressed Chairs from each respective committee. Alex Liu and Chris Lin from Grade 12 played the role of Assistant Directors in different committees. Their diligence and dedication were also highly appreciated by HMUN Organizing Committee.
