Johns Hopkins University CTY Program

The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) identifies and develops the talents of the most advanced K-12 learners worldwide. As part of Johns Hopkins University, CTY helps fulfill the university’s mission of preparing students to make significant future contributions to our world.

On March 20, Executive Director of CTY program, Elaine Tuttle Hansen and her team visited SHSID in the afternoon. This is their first visit to Shanghai. Attracted by the excellent performances of our students in CTY programs, Ms Hansen and her team were eager to find out how SHSID was helping the students to develop their curiosity and interest in many different academic areas and extra-curricular activities. After a campus tour, Director Ni of Grades 7-8 had a meeting with the group when he introduced more details of SHSID to the guests. They also discussed how CTY might develop more programs to meet our students’ interests and needs.
