TEDxSHSID

TEDxSHSID was successfully held in Square Hall on March 14th, 2015. TED (technology, entertainment, design) is a private American non-profit institution, which is known for TED meeting. The purpose for TED is "to change the world with the power of thought". Every year in March, TED is held in America. The meeting assembles outstanding representatives in many fields, like science, design, literature, and music. They share their ideas about technology, society, and exploration. TEDx is the derivative project, which localizes the TED meeting. The self-organized activities bring people together, having a similar experience as TED.

TEDxSHSID invited 8 speakers this time, including Swedish Consul, a volunteer from Shanghai Pride, as well as a student and teacher from our school, all of which gave 8 speeches. Topics varied from science and business to social problems. The audience not only enjoyed the speeches, they also discussed the issues with the speakers during the break time. Everyone learned much through this activity.
