Welcome the New Challenge: the 10th Grade Opening Ceremony

At the very beginning of the new semester, the 10th grade SHSID students had their opening ceremony in the auditorium. The ceremony begun with a video reliving the splendid moments of last semester: the academic competition, the sports games, the winter ball, and the talent show. All these evoked the exciting anticipation of another wonderful semester.

The first speaker was Ms. Min Liu, director of 9th and 10th grade, and she gave the summary report of last semester and clarified the target of the new semester, including the reinforcement in curriculum/ college/ career guidance and conduct management. Ms. Danye Ma, head of 10th grade, gave a special speech to the 10th grade students, encouraging them to be fully prepared for the coming challenge. She also commended exemplary students who gained remarkable achievements last semester. Richard Pan, 10th grade ASB president, and Cang Wang, student representative, also expressed their expectations for this semester in front of everyone in the auditorium. The most important message conveyed to the 10th grade students was to think big for their future, and do something real in the moment. At last, Mr. Feng Ma, SHSID high school principal, extended a welcome to the students. He also urged the young people to start building a solid foundation now for their future.
