Twelfth Grade Student was Admitted to Top Art University

Hsiao Yen Chao , a 12th grade student at our school, was admitted into the University of the Arts London and will pursue a fashion design major in the Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design (CSM). The University of the Arts London is one of the top universities in the world. The University of the Arts London, Istituto Marangoni (Milan, Italy), Parsons School of Design (New York, USA), and ESMOD (Paris, France) are the top four design colleges in the world. Since the 1960s, many alumni from CSM have become leaders in their fields. Notable examples include Apple's design director Jonathan Ivey, Oscar winner Colin Firth, and the former Christian Dior head designer John Galliano. In the past, CSM has recruited only a few Chinese students, including Ye Ming Zi (granddaughter of Marshal Ye Jian Ying) and Barbara Yung Mei Ling.

A student from SHSID’s 2012 class, Dai Chun Xiao, and another from the 2014 class, Li Ruo Jun, were admitted to CSM. Now Hsiao Yen Chao, who studies AP Studio Art at SHSID in the 2015 class, has also been admitted. CSM has long been his dream school, so he has worked very hard during these past two years, and with the help of his teachers, he produced many impressive works of art. In the end, he realized his dream. Congratulations!
