8th Grade Radio Broadcast Group

Sound suddenly crackles from the speaker in the classroom, and everyone sits up in anticipation of the Radio Club broadcast, headed by the 8(8)’s homeroom teacher Ms. Gao. The Radio Club selects a few people to go on the air each Friday from 12:40—1 o’ clock.

They talk about news from the week, explaining what happened and maybe announcing some results. They also play songs they have chosen. Their voices and music provide our students with information and entertainment. The club tries to be helpful to us, and seeks to liven up our lunchtime a little. It is usually a welcome diversion from the everyday classroom environment.

The service the Radio Club provides is useful and enjoyable. It’s great experience for budding DJs and broadcasters, and we love to listen. This service is an important aspect of our school life, and we hope it will continue.
