8th Grade Connect-Five Competition

As the long-awaited connect-five competition began, contestants gathered in room 413 for the most important part of the competition: the draw. The draw decides the fate of many competitors. If lucky, they will easily progress into the next round. If not, then a battle of intelligence will commence. Connect-Five is an intellectual game that requires much thinking and strategic planning, to fool and annihilate your opponent. The match usually involves traps and setups, but a matched struggle may last for more than half an hour. On the second day, the clock slowly ticked towards 12:30, and people gathered in the makeshift arena. It begins! Wanting nothing else than to win, the contestants fought intensely with their friends and classmates. The tense atmosphere was broken by a yell of victory, followed by the cheers of supporters. The winner, despite his victory, still lost too many of the challengers. After two rounds, the contestants thinned out, and only the strong remained. As the competition increased, the audience increased accordingly. Prizes were given out by the teachers to the competitors as a reward, and after the weekend, the battle raged on. Finally, 4 very talented players, Johnny, George, Adam and Martin made it into the final. And after another round of fierce competition, the results came out. Sincere congratulations are extended to champion 8(9) Johnny, runner-up 8(10) George and third place 8(11) Martin.
