8th Grade English Speech Competition First Round

On 2014, 11.19, English speech competition was held. All contestant were elected from their English classes and had a high standard of speech ability and persuasive techniques.

Topic varied from free medical healthcare to education, from analysis of war to school systems. Courtney talked about free medical healthcare, and how this contributed to our civilized society. Tania and Rachel talked about the importance of education.

We can for see that in the future, these students may become politicians! There were 5 judges in total, grading these students under a certain strict rubric. Teachers will choose some students out of these who had competed to attend this Thursday’s speech competition final round.
