8th Grade Desktop Cleaning Service Team

Starting this semester, our school has introduced the Service Learning Program. One part of the program is the Desk Cleaning Service Team lead by Mr. Shen. “He is a really responsible teacher who explains everything well and propagates strong, positive energy to encourage us. He gives as vast confidence and determination,” said Carol, a member of the team. The desktop cleaning service team is a powerful, miraculous, dependable and organized team, which is also knows as the “Desk Cleanliness censors”. Every member in the team is on the right track, they clearly know that drawing or writing on the desk will cause severe consequences to our tranquil, learning environment. Random writings may induce disturbance to students during lessons or lectures.

Words or pictures on the desks cause environmental damage and can slightly influence students’ minds.

During meetings, members feel free to express their ideas, thoughts and concepts. The ambiance is jaunty but also solemn towards the problem. After a discussion, Mr. Shen assigned the very first assignment, which was to make a poster for dissemination and delivered powerful speeches during P&B classes. This will be the first time the team will show off their new responsibilities in front of the rest of the students, as they express the concepts and explain the procedures. What’s more, Mr. Shen gave out some arm bands which has their team name on it, the dazzling arm bands will soon become a symbol of them censoring between classrooms.

Ultimately, I assume that with hard work and high intelligence, The Desk Cleaning Service Team will have an enormous success in the months to come.
