Speech Competition of grade 9-10

On Wednesday, hundreds of students from grade 9 and 10 gathered in the auditorium to attend the annual Speech Competition. Featuring speeches on the community around us, and focusing on what every single one of the students could contribute, the contestants told ninth graders and tenth graders alike what they could do for the community. A total of twenty-nine contestants went up on stage and told the close-knit freshman and sophomore community what they thought and what they wanted to achieve. The atmosphere was humming with excitement and motivation as the speakers expressed their ideas with the voices of young students with big dreams. The entire student body was overwhelmed by the sheer number of possibilities and the huge amount of things that could be done to help our community as a whole.

“It was a truly beautiful experience. Listening to what my friends and schoolmates thought about the world around us led me to think about what I wanted to do to help”, said a freshman.
