Grade 9 students went for a speech by Yale-NUS

On October 23, grade 9 students went to a speech presented by Yale-NUS, a newly established college. Yale-NUS is a joint college between the famous American college, Yale, and the well-known National University of Singapore. Yale-NUS marries the eastern and western culture and is one of the newest and best schools in all of Asia. The college aims to create well-rounded students with good communication skills and a strong foundation in education. Instead of making students choose their majors in the first year of college, the school only lets them pick at the end of their second year in order to ensure that the major was what the student really wanted. Yale-NUS offers 14 majors as well as other electives like the arts and dancing. They also provide internships to many prestigious companies and organizations like the Time Warner Company and the United Nations. Located in Singapore, this new college attracts thousands of students from 90 over countries and 6 different continents.
