8th Grade Charity Fair
8th Grade Charity Fair
The seventh and eighth graders have welcomed the first Charity Fair in their 2014-2015 school year. During the lunch break before the fair, ticket sales went through the roof. The line of people buying tickets stretched from the front of the lab building to the gate of the football field. Even though not everyone got tickets, people are still excited to line up at the ticket booth during the fair. Everybody excitedly anticipated the fair’s commencement.
There was a variety of products sold at the fair. They include homemade baked products, posters, autographed photos, and a wide range of food and drinks, such as crepes, lemon juice, coke floats, and cake. A group of students were very creative, by selling water balloons and allowing the other students to throw it at them. They also thought of selling shaving cream, which other students wiped on their faces. It was a great way to having fun while raising money for charity.
Teachers had a great time, too. Many teachers really connected with the students and had a lot of fun. One of the teachers were even a “victim” of the water balloons and shaving cream. This Charity Fair was a really great because it raised money for children who don’t have the privilege to go to preschool and kindergarten. In total, we raised 42, 345 RMB, which was 7,000 more than last time!
