7th Grade “The Girls’ Leadership Group” Has Been Established

Did you know that SHSID has established its own leadership group, made up entirely of girls? Our motto is: “Be prepared”.

Initial preparation work was started from this June. It was so popular because everyone knew about it and wanted to sign up. However, the first group is limited to 11 members and was filled up by 7-8 grades girls immediately. Many girls and their parents were disappointed that they could not join the group. Per Emily Song, the members of “The Girls’ Leadership Group” will engage in activities which include: camping, arrow shooting, climbing, watching movies etc.

“The Girls’ Leadership Group” is a very meaningful group. The skills and knowledge training provide may look simple, but it helps develop self-esteem and community. At the same time, it also helps improving survival skills. We hope it is a success. We also hope that more Girls’ Leadership groups will be established in the near future.
