8th Grade Eco-fashion Show

On March 27, 2014 during the CAS class, SHSID 8th graders put on an eco-fashion show at Xianmian Building. Students competed to design clothing made from eco-friendly materials.

Many memorable designs were introduced. Some combined paper and plastic bags to form a beautiful dress, while others featured old curtains and army uniforms.

The eco-fashion show challenges students to put their imagination and hand-crafting ability towards a good cause, showing them that it is possible to recycle and reuse old materials to give them new usage. Students hope to host more events like this in the future that are not only entertaining, but challenge their skills and thinking as well.
