Grade 10:A field trip to Shiseido

March 26, 2014

Grade 10 students had a field trip to Shiseido factory last Friday. Shiseido was founded in 1872 and has a long history. The company’s various sub-brands, including ZA and UNO, are popular with consumers and have a reputation for quality.

At the door there were slippers organized by size, and a cabinet for students to place their shoes in. A brief introduction of the factory was given by staff in the conference room. The students were surprised to learn the company's name is derived from ’Ching’, an ancient Chinese text.

To ensure a sterile environment, before entering the workshop visitors put on blue gowns and were asked to leave their belongings in the conference room. The workshops were well managed: everyone wore uniforms and remained focused on their job.

It was a great experience for the students and they enjoyed the journey.
