Grade 1 Puxi: A Joyful Lantern Festival

This year, the traditional Lantern Festival falls on the 14th of February. To celebrate it, Grade One students ate dumplings, made lanterns, and had to think hard to solve some tricky riddles.

Teachers introduced the origins and customs of the Lantern Festival in the PG class a day before. At the end of the class, students racked their brains to solve the riddles, giving rise to much laughter. Teachers also taught kids the ways of making big red lanterns, which was one of the indispensable elements of the day. The beautiful and unique lanterns were greatly liked by our kids.

Perhaps what made the kids most excited on the Lantern Festival was the dumplings, specially prepared as a lunch desert by the cafeteria.

This year's Lantern Festival was unforgettable!
