Puxi Grade One: Raz-Kids

This month, students were introduced to an exciting new reading program called Raz-Kids. Raz-Kids is a web-based reading program that allows students to read, listen to, and take quizzes on hundreds of books at the appropriate reading level. Raz-Kids is an excellent tool to help students improve their English reading comprehension and fluency. It is often difficult to find books appropriate for each student’s reading level; however, Raz-Kids makes it easy! Not only is it a helpful resource for both parents and teachers, but it has also already instilled a love for reading in many of our students. Students can earn Raz-Kid stars, which they then can use to build robots and rocket ships. Some of our students have read more than 100 books in one week! We hope to see all students’ reading levels progress several levels throughout the year. Keep reading those books and earning stars!
