Puxi Grade One: Month of Peer Respect

First graders are constantly learning and developing as people. It is at this point in their lives when they must learn how to treat others with respect, share, and distinguish right from wrong. Personal growth class has been used to teach the students some of these crucial life skills. During the last few weeks of personal growth class, students have engaged in discussions about how to care about their friends. Students have learned qualities that make someone a “true friend,” how to be a good friend to others, and why bullying is hurtful. No student should ever feel excluded or lonely, and we want to ensure that SHSID provides a safe and welcoming environment for all students!
