G6: A Trip to Shanghai Ocean Aquarium
G6: A Trip to Shanghai Ocean Aquarium
Kids in Grade 6 visited Shanghai Ocean Aquarium this semester.
Their fascinating “round the world” underwater journey begins from the Yangtze River in China, then on to the mysterious flooded forest of the Amazon in South America. Next you will find yourselves at the mangroves and billabongs of Australia. You will then meander through the rivers of Africa before arriving at the rainforests of Southeast Asia. Brave the cold as you go through the icy waters of the Antarctic. The last leg of your journey will take you from the sandy shores to the depths of the ocean.
The Tropical Rainforest in Southeast Asia is one of the most ancient tropical rainforests in the whole world. The dense forests, spectacular natural scenery and the variety of creatures supply the animals here with abundant food and an ideal habitat.
With the cold icy wind blowing across your face as you climb over the white-snow-covered mountains, you know you have arrived at the Polar Zone to meet our cute and cuddly penguins.
Boys and girls took pictures with the sea animals. They were attracted by the penguins and would like to see them swim. Some students stayed with the seals for quite a long time, others read the introduction carefully. They said they've learned quite a lot from this field trip and made friends with animals.
