Which one would fit better, two or five? -Eighth Grade Sudoku Competition
Which one would fit better, two or five? -Eighth Grade Sudoku Competition
After the monthlies, everyone seems to have become more energetic. Their classes alone no longer seem sufficient to satisfy the students’ need for stimulation. Thus, a large number of educational activities have been added to their school lives, and Sudoku is one of the most popular of these activities.
It’s hard to imagine what it’s like to walk into a classroom full of students preparing for a Sudoku contest unless you've done it yourself. Even though the students showed all the signs of confidence and eagerness to win, they were still very friendly to others, wishing them good luck. As pens and pencils were taken out, the contest papers were passed out to the contestants. After a short chorus of "so much" and "so hard," everyone started to work on the puzzles.
The bell finally rang at one o'clock. Contestants put down their pens and turned in their papers with proud, confident looks on their faces. They were all smiling from ear to ear.
The next day, the results came out. Justin from 8(3) won the first prize, which is not surprising at all considering his wonderful math skills and hardworking attitude. Second place went to Rochelle from 8(11). Her smile was brimming with happiness when she heard the good news. Though shouting, "This is way too hard," numerous times during the competition, Andy Lin from 8(10) won third place. Congratulations!
