Grade 8 Science Fair
Last Thursday afternoon, after the first period was finished, the hallway of 7thgrade and 8thgrade began to be crowded with students. The afternoon boringness suddenly disappeared and the students were filled with excitement. It’s Science Fair time! With the hard works of the students and teachers, each and every homeroom gave out a creative activity for others to participate in. There were many games, such as putting up as many domino pieces as you can in forty seconds which required speed and cunningness; lifting up a cup using a chopstick and some rice was an experiment for showing your intelligence; covering other’s protractors by blowing it, an awesome ‘fight’ for improving your pulmonary capacity… Teachers helped out a lot during the activities. Later you can get stamps on your science fair passport for exchange of rewards! Walking along the hallways of these two grades, you can hear screams cheering for friends and laughter of happiness. Time passed so fast that students didn’t realize it was over until they heard the bell rang again. It’s a pity that there was not enough time for students to try all the activities out. Despite of this, the rewards gave out to them in change of the stamps cheered them up. It was a great Science Fair which gave the students a chance for learning new knowledge and trying out new stuffs at the same time.
