G9:Course Introduction

Music and Visual Art will be provided in the next school year. The teachers of music and visual art were invited to give the students a speech about the course introduction.

The one-year music class is designed as a pre-course leading to IB or AP music program. The content of this program covers Basic Elements of Music, Western Art Music History, Listening Analysis, Performing and Composing Techniques, World/Jazz/Popolar Music, Music for Stage and Screen, etc.All students will be evaluated in Listening Analysis, Performing and Composing respectively based on standard assessment criterrion.

The course of visual art is designed to give students a basic understanding of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design and all relevant vocabulary.Keeping a sketchbook outside of class will also be an integral part of the course.
