Discover Yourself: Psychology Event on Multiple Intelligences

June 12, 2024

The psychology teachers staged an exciting event based on Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences, designing activities that cover eight different intelligence domains from the perspectives of linguistic intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, naturalistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, and musical intelligence. These activities allowed students to experience the charm of multiple intelligences through participation.

In terms of linguistic intelligence, students engaged in collage poetry and tongue twister challenges, honing their language expression and logical thinking abilities through word games. Intrapersonal intelligence activities included OH cards and creative clay, helping students better understand themselves and tap into their inner thoughts and creativity.

Interpersonal intelligence was a key part of this activity, where students had the opportunity to make bracelets for friends, strengthening friendships and enhancing social skills through interaction. In the naturalistic intelligence activity, students made natural bookmarks by hand and identify plant names, enhancing their knowledge and love for nature.

The logical-mathematical intelligence activities included classic games such as Sudoku, Rubik's Cube, and the Stroop effect, aiming to train students' logical thinking and mathematical abilities. Musical intelligence activities featured a song-snatching game, allowing students to experience the charm of music in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

The joyful freeze-frame photo session brought the atmosphere of the activity to a climax. Students grouped together for photos, posing in various interesting ways, and using the camera to capture the beauty of the moment.
