SHSID 2024 Academic Year-New Semester Foreign Teachers’ Orientation

The new academic year is approaching! From August 22nd to 30th, the SHSID Foreign Teachers' Affairs Office carefully organized a specialized Foreign Teachers’ Orientation for the 2024 academic year.


During the new teacher training meeting, Ms. Hu Bo, High School Assistant Principal of SHSID and Head of the Foreign Teachers' Affairs Office, warmly welcomed the new foreign teachers. She expressed her hope that they would quickly integrate into the teaching environment at SHSID and fully showcase their talents and potential on this promising educational stage.





The orientation covered a wide range of topics, including the use of classroom multimedia equipment, a comprehensive introduction to the school's curriculum system, First Aid training, assessment and discussions on educational methods, Chinese law, and how to adapt to cultural differences. In addition, liaisons and volunteer teachers led the new foreign teachers around campus and introduced them to nearby facilities.









During the orientation, the Foreign Teachers’ Affairs Office organized a team-building event, in which Principal of SHS, Mr. Feng Zhigang gave a speech wishing all foreign teachers to take Shanghai High School as their second home and all the best in their life and work here! Mr. Ma Feng, Principal of SHSID High School , reviewed the development of SHSID, curriculum and activity development, and school policies, urging teachers to meet high standards in their teaching tasks. Mr. Liu Lian, Principal of the SHSID Middle and Primary School, introduced the facilities layout of the new campus in the Hsi Building and outlined the 2024 academic year's vision. He also shared the exciting prospects for the new school year. Furthermore, various deparments of SHSID and liaisons organized several teaching exchanges and round-table discussions to share valuable teaching experiences.




















This orientation not only enhanced the teachers' professional skills but also fostered team cohesion. The foreign teachers expressed their commitment to working together in the new academic year, striving for excellence, and achieving new successes.
