Puxi Campus G1 | The First Week for Newcomers
In the vibrant tapestry of childhood, the first week of primary school shines like the brightest
color at dawn, marking the beginning of the exciting new journey of growth. On September 1st,
Shanghai High School International Division warmly welcomed its eagar first graders. Filled
with Excitement, the children greeted the enthusiastic teachers and staff as they entered the
campus, went to their classrooms, and made new friends.
In the days that followed , the teachers showcased the colorful life of the primary school,
guiding the new students to explore every corner of the campus. To help children better
understand their peers, personal growth lessons involving paintbrushes were used to creatively
introduce themselves.
Our school puts great emphasis on meeting the needs of students for individualized growth. Our
teachers employ a variety of teaching strategies tailored to the students' age and interests,
carefully designing engaging lessons. In math class, teachers use real-life examples to simplify
abstract concepts, making them easier to understand. In language arts, students dive into the
richness of Chinese characters, experiencing the beauty of the language. Social studies classes
are made accessible through group descussion and interactive activities, guiding students to
understand abstract societal concepts while enhancing their sense of social responsibility and
critical thinking.
Additionally , teachers take full advantage of recess to organize team games and social activities,
creating opportunities for communication and interaction. These activities not only enhancing
mutual understanding among students but also deepening their friendships.
As the week come to an end , the children's growth is evident, like bamboo shoots sprouting in
spring—impressively visible. In the classroom, they actively engage and share their ideas; on the
playground , they run and play, relishing the warmth and joy of friendship. We egarly look
forward to these young newcomers shine even brighter in the future, writing their own
magnificent stories!
