Grade 10: Getting Ready for the Sports Meet
With the final completion of the new teaching building of SHSID—the Hsi Building, students have conclusively welcomed the long-awaited return of the sports meet.
Diving into the first CAS period, students from each class actively signed up for various events of the October 10 sports meet, such as relay races, the 1500-meter run, as well as traditional track and field events including shot put, high jump, long jump and so on. Everyone had emotions of enthusiasm for the long-anticipated sports meet, competing to represent their class in the event.
Subsequently, in the second CAS period, homerooms began rehearsing for the entrance ceremony on the day of the sports meet. They had been rehearsing different formations for their performances on stage. The students were filled with youthful vitality, using their wild imagination to propose various ideas and different aspects. Each homeroom was required to design a 30 second themed performance centering around the selected sports they chose as a class. For example, the homeroom that selected the theme of badminton suggested the idea of finding someone to play as a badminton ball in a simulated game. Overall, the atmosphere of each class was harmonious, and everyone enjoyed this short yet wonderful time.
This was not only a rehearsal for a sports meet, but also a concentrated display of class unity, friendship, and creativity. As the sports meet approaches, the enthusiasm of the students is also increasing day by day. We believe that at the upcoming sports meet, all students will definitely showcase their talents in their best form, bring glory to the class, and leaving unforgettable memories for their youth.
